arc de triomphe is actually a monument which is built in an arc-shaped punya design.
in terms of design of the monument, to me its nothing special lah as i see it as a seketul batu besar yg berbentuk arc lah....huhuhu...ape la yg aku cerita ni.....

well, what i m trying to point out here is, in terms of the design of the arc de triomphe ni, i found out theres nothing so special about it....ye lah.....pada aku nampak cam seketul batu yg besar yg tetiba ada kat tgh2 jalan raya.....nothing special about it...
but when u see it thru the historical event yg celebrated under this stack of stone, then u might find something special about it....

arc de triomphe is one of the most famous monument in Paris in which it was commissioned to built right after the famous victory of Napoleon Bonaparte win in the Battle of Austerlitz.
well, i dont want to get in too far into the historical side of the arc de triomphe, as i think its quite a tough subject to discuss it here, ......
but to make it simpler, the arc de triomphe ni was actually built to celebrate anything lah for the French.....
kalao based on dulu2 punya situasi semasa, of course lah, its used to celebrate the war.....
battle of austerlitz,......world war 1....... u named it lah...all kinds of war yg those French involved......so depa celebrate lah kat arc de triomphe nih......

but in the modern days punya celebration nih, they would celebrate the world cup they won in 1998 here, then the when they became champions of europe in euro 2000 later, they also celebrate the victory here......
so, inilah gunanya arc de triomphe nih....

so in theory, it was built to celebrate a victory in a war lah.....

well guys, to go into the details of the arc de triomphe nih memang requires an intensive reading of the french punya history lah, which i m not going into.....so i just let the photos doing the talking lah ya....

this one is actually a metro station in Barcelona, Spain.
well, these is the metro station which is named arc de triomf.....so senang kalao nak pi tgk arc de triomf, kita beli la tiket utk ke stn nih, and keluar2 je this metro stn, then u terus nampak itu monument....
actually kat Spain pon ada arc de triomph....tapi its called arc de triomf lah in spanish...

ahah, this one is the famous landmark which is located at the western-end of the Champs-Elysee lah in Paris.....
its the Arc de Triomph.....ini baru betui punya arc de triomphe....huhuhuhuhu/.....
memang kagum gak aku when i first saw this arc de triomphe.....

u cannot just simply cross the road as theres quite a number of policemen present at the arc de triomphe.
u must use the underground passageway to get there at the arc de triomphe.
aku dgn another tourist nyaris nak lintas jalan nih....
huhuhuhuh.....yelah excited nak tgk dekat dekat......tau2 kena sound dgn that policemen....huhuhuhuhu....
takpelah, tak paham pon apa dia cakap.....aku ngangguk je la...

these family of tourist tgh admiring those landscape punya night view of Paris, particularly the Champs-Elysee punya area.
the poster which is displaying the night view of Paris, is actually being put in the underground passageway which is just terletak kat bawah the arc de triomphe nih.
