woke up at 7.30 in the morning, pack my bag then straight to Taiping for my breakfast.
evrytime i m here in Taiping, i will try to not to miss my breakfast here in Bismillah Restaurant in Taiping.

this restaurant has become some sort of icon of Taiping as u can ask any of the Taipingites u know, sure they can tell u where its located, how good the food they served, what is the specialty etc etc.....though i must admit that i m a bit frustrated when i found out that the bismillah restaurant is not even mentioned in the wikipedia about "places to eat" in Taiping.....hampeh betullll.....

this is the first time i express my disappointment on wikipedia punya article.

this is the building of the restaurant.
as its stated on the building itself, it was first opened in 1900.
the building itself was built in the year 1932 and was first opened by the members of Indian Moslem Association Members, which was comprise of Mr Abd Kadir, Abdullah and Hj. Mamonhhi.
Today, its still operated by the 4th generation of the family members.

most of the meja n kerusi will be occupied at most of the time, and u just need to be 'ringan mulut' to ask if u can join and have ur breakfast at the same table with them.

this the menu yg i cannot miss everytime i makan breakfast sini.

kuah kari daging cincang.......(rm3)
kuah ori yg dia tetap akan bagi though u already ordered ur kari daging cincang...(free)
and my fav, susu lembu panas (ori punya nih).....huhuhuhuhuhu.....(rm1.60)

u just have to get used with it....the weather here is really unpredictable punya weather...

its the 4th generation already since its first opened back in the year 1900.....fuuuhhh

according to the owner tadi, the wall clock has reach 60 years and its still serviceable as seen here is stated the current time at 8.30 in the morning when the photo was taken.

and some antics collector has offered rm6000 for the wall clock, according to the owner of the restaurant.

the container consists of 400 roti yg tak siap.
everyday, they sell about 500++ roti canai to the customer, and it doubles(sometimes triples) during the festive season

sambil nunggu hujan to stop, sambil nagkap gambar.
sambil nangkap gamba, sambil sembang.
its normal when u re holding a dslr, and taking pictures, of course people will ask, and from there, it will leads to a series of conversation.
and those conversation with those stranger( i mean the public yg eager to know why i m taking pictures), sometimes can become interesting though.....like my conversation with this pakcik which was photographed on the right side of the photo.
it was a biasa2 punya conversation until he started to ask me where i lived.
i said 'taman sri kota', and he replied that he used to stay there dulu...but now has moved to pokok assam.....
then he started to ask,"ayah siapa nama", and aku bila org tanya nama pak, mula la aku dalam hati...."ala pakcik ni.....macam kenal je kalao aku sebut...."huhuhuhuhu
and turned out to be dia kenal arwah bapak.....pehhhh.......
Hariri? he asked......Hariri Bab?
pehhhh.....tercengang aku......huhuhuhuhuh
he is a friend to arwah bapak.....he used to work in the pejabat tanah taiping where arwah used to work.
and he even knows how arwah suffered a heart attack right after his journey from KL, then jalan kaki balik to our house which is located dekat around 7 km from the stn KTM Taiping.
pehhhh...detail beb.....kagum aku as the tragedy was back in the year 1984....aku budak sgt.....mana tau apa...huhuhuhuhuhu......tak cakap banyak,terus aku salam..."saya ni anak dia la".....i told him with a sense of proud.

nama pakcik ni Ahmad b Sahak. he told me that he just got retired 4 days ago from his office in Grik....pejabat Tanah Grik to be precised.
kira dia junior to arwah bapak la.
and we were joined by another pakcik ni punya kawan,in which i forgot to ask his name, but he did told me me he is working as a postman in pejabat pos Simpang.
as the rain beginning to stop, and as both of them ready to leave, i ask them both to pose for the camera.

when i was a kid, i used to merengek to my mum to buy those coklat yg on display kat dalam kotak2 kat kaunter tu...huhuhuhuhuhuhuuhuh

since the 2 pakciks tadi dah blah, and kat luar hujan started to lebat balik, aku pon nak tak nak, terpaksa sambung lagi satu gelas besar susu lembu panas...huhuhuhuh...

i was invited by Nik's family to attend the open house organized by Nik's Kak Yong.
though Nik is away in Jeddah, as he is transferred there for quite a long period of time to Jeddah, aku cam biasa muka tak malu, tetap datang.....
huhuhuhuhuhuhuh....makan free punya pasal....huhuhuhuhuhuhu
actually i have known his family quite well, and the family also kenal sgt aku....so, once i got invited of course i will come to the house wpon member aku si Pok Nik ni tadak.

as according to Nik's mum, she cooked about 6 gantang beras for the nasik dagang, and 23 ekor ayam for the kuah kari, and also 20kg ikan tongkol for the open house punya makan nih....huhuhuhuhuhuhu.....
and she only gone to sleep at 2.30 in the morning malam tadi nak prepare nasik dagang ni punya pasal.....memang power laaaa....salute aku....
aku terus belasah 3 pinggan.....siap bawak balik bungkus lagi...huhuhuhuhuhuhu

ahh....finally at home around 4.30 pm ....lega beb....

i was actually granted a leave today, as i was supposed to be working on Sunday.
since the leave was granted, aku memang guna sebaik mungkin the leave today and yesss.....it was worth taking the leave as i m really happy today though a bit capek.
huhuhuhuhuhuh...takpa....capek ni tido jap lagi ok la nih esok....
anyway the journey today memang layaaannnnnnnnn beb

the only setback during the journey was, i lost the lens cap of my kit lens......huwaaaaaa....
ya laaa...dok berenti amik gamba, dok bukak tutup bukak tutup lens....terus lupa aku letak mana.....
aku suspect aku bukak lens, aku letak lens cap atas seat moto....amik gambar, then terus letak kamera inside the bagpack, then terus jalan....
sure jatuh kat atas jalan mana2 tu....haduih laaa...

if in case u guys ada jumpak kat mana2 atas jalan especially area bukit gantang nun, kalao jumpa pas balik ya kat aku.....huhuhuhuhu....

takpalah, as long as aku selamat sampai and life aku happy, apa la sgt lens cap tu ye dak...halal je lah....wlaupon aku sedikit frustrated with my carelessness....
